The Luxembourg Institute of Health will be completed in November 2021 in Strassen, Luxembourg. This project is new territory for SPIE Luxembourg as these building will be used for medical research laboratories. Department Manager Benjamin Dessy explains.
‘We will be handling the construction of three buildings devoted to laboratories, offices and outpatient consultations, along with the renovation of an existing building,’ explains Benjamin Dessy. ‘The Public Building Administration awarded this project to us, which will house five laboratories.
Our contract includes the studies and the installations of all the technical systems, other than the electrics: HVAC and sanitation, sprinklers, compressed air, and medical gas supply.
For this, we will need to carry out detailed studies and work on a rather tight schedule. There will be two designers, a deputy project manager and a project manager working on this project.’
